Intense Pulse Light (IPL) or Broad Band Light (BBL) is a non-invasive treatment to improve the appearance of the skin. MVL uses IPL to effectively treat flushing, blushing and brown spots. A short wavelength of broad-spectrum light is used to rejuvenate the skin on the face, neck, chest, arms or hands. Specific machine settings are selected for each treatment area for optimal results. Visible improvement is achieved with little discomfort and minimal risk in a very short time.

Can BBL help with rosacea?

This is the optimal treatment for rosacea. The flushing of rosacea along with the small veins and acne that often accompany it can be effectively treated. There is no cure for rosacea but BBL is an excellent treatment option to control flushing and blushing.

Can BBL help with my brown spots and age spots?

BBL is the treatment of choice for those unsightly brown spots on the face, chest, and hands. It is also very effective for melasma (pregnancy mask)

How many treatments will I need?

For Rosacea, the average patient requires 3-4 sessions depending on the severity. Each session takes about 20 minutes and normal activities can be resumed immediately. Makeup, if worn can be applied that day. Many patients have touch up sessions 2-3 times a year to continue to enjoy the benefits of photo-rejuvenation. For sun damage or brown spots, the average patient requires 2-4 sessions. The darker the brown spots, the faster they fade. The brown spots typically get slightly darker for a few days and then flake off and either disappear or become lighter in color.

What other benefits will I see from BBL treatments?

BBL provides an overall improvement of your skin. Your skin looks brighter with a more even skin tone, complexion and smaller pore size. Placing heat into the skin stimulates your body to produce collagen thus giving the skin a tighter appearance.
